Life in the Grand
“Life in the Grand was a project developed by the community. Participants were encouraged to “make their mark” in any way , be it with encouraging words or pictures on the 4’x7’ panel. The artist and mentee then came in and painted with a transparent wash in a negative space style to show the difference types of fish found in the Grand River. By using a transparent wash all the marks painted by the community are still visible. This was a wonderful hands on experience for the artists and community! A special thanks to the BIA and all the many volunteers that made it happen.”
